YES....the best in this business have down days, too!
Actually they have more down days than the rookies. The best
in sales have more down days than any member of the sales
force.


Why? They have quotas to meet and an image to keep. They
have bills to pay AND they show others "THE" way! Even on a
crummy day, they exhibit and breathe SUCCESS! The best in
the business know that rubber balls bounce back! Flat tires
can roll. The sun will follow the rain.


Merry GO Round AND Roller Coaster!

Think of life's ride like a roller coaster. The life of a
sales professional is like this inverted steel twister. The
BRUTE gravity force levels, probably equal astronaut
training. That's on GOOD days!


Are we having fun? This is a question often joked about. The
answer is — Yes! As soon as we understand the sales reality
that for Down days, we'll see UP days, then we can make our
daily business motions, with some sense of perspective,
reality and success. After all, most of us can relate to the
fact that OUR world, often becomes an Up-and-Down world by
lunchtime. AND....on the net, lunchtime isn't always OUR
time.


For the most part, the Smart Seller looks and sounds normal.
These things WILL happen in sales. If you're really good,
you just learn to let go and YELL! If you're new to this
Yo-Yo life, hang onto your head! All of this is REALLY
supposed to be fun, and it is FUN — in its own peculiar
way. After all, we probably wouldn't be IN this sales
CIRCUS....if we... and IT, weren't very special.


Doing the phony motions won't cut you a paycheck. You can
"play" business and sales around the clock and never
experience, the THRILL of the BIG catch! The serious hunter
hunts for the BIG chase and catch. Good sales professionals
always see themselves as BEING ONE sale away from a
paycheck! We're on a Merry GO Round that never actually
stops. WE welcome the chase!


When the curve drops out from under you, STAY cool. You'll
NEVER be able to steer a roller coaster. Some riders feel
as if death is staring them right in the face. Keep Smiling!


There will always BE twists and turns in the future. Most of
them will be great ones. Think about all the good times
because they WILL return. You determine YOUR paycheck in
this exciting business. You NEED a Sales Mind-Set to become
a REAL sales person. Sales people have to understand the
INNER guts of sales. Selling Ford cars is great. It's just
as easy to fall in love with selling Jaguars! The commission
on a Rolex probably buys more food than a LOT of watches.
Get my drift? Mind-Set Sells. You'll never make that trip to
paradise IF your commissions AND number of sales, won't even
buy a ticket.
