Apple Juice vs. Apple Juice - IS Brand Shopping an e-Puzzle?

==================
Price doesn't always determine how we purchase. Let's review
a simple Apple Juice and Cereal decision making process. How DO we decide what to buy? This process CAN and will fluctuate.
1. Would you pay more money for better TASTE? Of course you would probably pay a higher price, if one brand of Apple
Juice had a nasty, bitter taste. Why? It's simple. You don't want your kids wasting their juice because if it TASTES bad,
they will NOT drink it. You'll scream at the "little darlings" and waste cash. A lot of aggravation can sway the
complicated, decision making process in this situation.
2. Would you pay more for convenience? Maybe....you would,
if preparing frozen Apple Juice at 5 A.M. doesn't make you smile! ( Same thing with other "ready-set-go" breakfast
food attractions. At 5 A.M., instant anything could sway your purchase decision. )
You might be wondering IF the speedy "pour and drink" Apple
Juice can save you time. At 5 A.M., even a few seconds of saved time, can make a difference. Rush factors can sway
purchase decisions. Perhaps you will spend more money to buy convenience!
3. Does packaging count when deciding if "LOOKS" are
important? In many cases, looks can really make or break a sale. Eye appeal helps. Advertising persuades. Kids scream
for the cereal prizes; so maybe we DO occasionally buckle under, for impulsive reasons. Price doesn't always seem to
matter when sanity is facing defeat in a public place.
Think about your own purchases. Does the generic cereal in
a plain yellow bag, appeal to your kids? Probably not...... to avoid grocery store humiliation, do you pick UP that
Fancy Box with the popular kiddie-cartoon characters on it?
Since many kids beg for the prizes in the Fancy Boxes, many
of us have probably been guilty of putting the ugly yellow bag, back on the shelf. In this case, we ARE paying the
higher price for "LOOKS." We simply want to shut the kids up.
Internet purchases can be tricky because we don't see, feel
or taste, the actual items we want to consider for purchase. For e-shoppers, TRUST is a HUGE factor. On the net,
reputation rules. Track records and Brand Identity can help us make better buying selections. Here we "over-rely" on
referrals to make better purchase decisions. We know the cheapest products and services are NOT always the best buys.
Frequently, e-Buying isn't a simple process. Remember the Apple Juice and Cereal comparison. What you think you SEE, is NOT always what you get!
