Are All great leaders top sales people?

Many great leaders were great sales people but that isn't
the norm. History shows that they were outstanding
communicators with messages that moved people. They provided
solutions. They always presented ideas. They motivated
people to take some kind of action.
What did they really sell?
They sold people trust. That's what we are supposed to do.
We sell on trust and reputation, don't we?
Winston Churchill was able to SELL the idea of people
fighting until death, which is always a very tough sell in
any country. He was successful when he did it. His
references and appeals to the admirable causes of history,
duty, and honor, made people act.
His courage also showed that he personally would not walk
away. His remarks that he would rather stay and take a few
of the enemies with him to life hereafter, were convincing.
He really was presenting a sincere partnership arrangement.
He is looked upon as one of the greatest leaders in world
history. He sold trust and reputation.
Give people a reason to "listen" to you.
Why should your prospects do something now? Leaders in
history can demonstrate this concept for you. When President
John F. Kennedy spoke, the people said, ' Follow him'
However, when present day politicians speak, the people
say, ' Get lost! ' You must give people a reason to follow
you.
We earn our living doing exactly the same kind of work that
all great leaders and sales professionals do. We get paid to
get action. No action equals zero income. Are you ready to
act and get other people to act too? Move people and get
paid nicely.
