You can write articles. Everybody has a writing style. Here are some tips to help you find and develop your own writing style.
A poorly organized article can ruin your chances of getting it passed around. Relevant components of the article must
flow into one another. Presentation counts. Your rough draft is only a dress rehearsal. Your final published piece will be your performance.
Before your even consider writing an article, find out if your article topic has already been published. Google is a
good place to start a topic search. If you use a popular topic, create an angle and present your viewpoint with a new twist.
Next you'll need to categorize your topic. This can be a breeze if you've done your research. This will create an outline for the article. From here, you'll fill in the
separate categories with your research material. Find angles that interest you and create your article from the bits and pieces of information that you've found.
Often times, these category parts will need to be trimmed, Don't worry about having too much information at this point.
Trim size after you have all categories filled into your outline.
Now you'll begin to polish your masterpiece. Read the
article out loud a few times. Trim the size of the article down to 4 or 5 decent size paragraphs. You don't need to
write a book. Check all links to be sure they work. Next, check to see if all of your capital letters and punctuation marks are in the proper places.
At this point, you should spell check, then save the article. Later, read the material again and proof it again. Now
you're ready for your final copy. It's sometimes easier to pick out errors after you let the article sit for a while.
Your final move will be to decide on a resource box, which will qualify as your shameless self-promotion. The resource
box can't be an ad. Your aim here is to tell people what you do. Don't make this very important piece of your article
a flop. If it sounds like an ad, you'll face rejection, even if the article is dynamite. State your name, then your
position ( editor, webmaster, whatever you do for a living on the net....you're not selling here. )
Give a short description about what you do. Then add your
contact link so readers can visit or email you. Remember to add a permission to reprint clause and copyright your articles. You will be giving everyone who reads your
articles permission to publish them and pass them onto others. Read a few article resource boxes to get an idea for your own.
There is no better way to get website traffic at NO cost. Your articles could circle the globe for years. Gobs of website visitors, people you have never contacted, will
visit you or email you. Some of these visitors might become valuable customers! Submit your work to ezine publishers
and article directories for additional business exposure. Articles give a new meaning to "strangers in paradise."
One last tip: Hire a reliable ghost writer if you feel you need help writing articles. It's a lot cheaper than paying for global advertising!
